SPECTOMIX® is a soluble powdered antimicrobial consisting of a combination of the active substances lincomycin and spectinomycin at a 1:1 ratio. The combination of such substances offers greater product activity by broadening the spectrum of action and the synergism between the two substances, making SPECTOMIX® an excellent tool for maintaining the intestinal health of poultry and swine. INDICATION
SPECTOMIX® is an oral antibacterial indicated for the prevention of Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy caused by Lawsonia intracellularis, and of diseases in poultry of the species Gallus gallus (broiler chickens and breeders) caused by Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens.
SPECTOMIX® is also indicated for the treatment of Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy caused by Lawsonia intracellularis, and of diseases in poultry of the species Gallus gallus (broiler chickens and breeders) caused by Escherichia coli, Salmonella Enteritidis and Clostridium perfringens.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Prevention:
POULTRY: The recommended preventive dose for poultry is 5 mg of the combination of active ingredients (2.5 mg lincomycin + 2.5 mg spectinomycin) per kilogram of body weight per day, mixed into the feed, for 21 consecutive days.
SWINE: The recommended preventive dose for swine is 5 mg of the combination of active ingredients (2.5 mg lincomycin + 2.5 mg spectinomycin) per kilogram of body weight per day, mixed into the feed, for 14 consecutive days.
Treatment:
POULTRY: The recommended curative dose for poultry is 10 mg of the combination of active ingredients (5 mg lincomycin + 5 mg spectinomycin) per kilogram of body weight per day, diluted in the drinking water, for 7 consecutive days.
SWINE: The recommended curative dose for swine is 10 mg of the combination of active ingredients (5 mg lincomycin + 5 mg spectinomycin) per kilogram of body weight per day, diluted in the drinking water, for 7 consecutive days.

Withdrawal Period
POULTRY: (Gallus gallus – broiler chickens, breeders)
Slaughter: the slaughter of treated birds must only be carried out 4 days after the last administration.
Eggs: this product must not be administered to birds producing eggs for human consumption.
SWINE: the slaughter of treated swine must only be carried out 6 days after the last administration.
