PROMOTIN® PS is a colistin-based product, at a concentration of 25%, and its main characteristics are:
• Treatment to preserve intestinal integrity;
• Action against the main enteric Gram negative agents;
• High solubility to be used via water.
FORMULA
Each 100 g of PROMOTIN® PS contains:
Colistin (as sulphate) ……………………………. 25.0 g
Excipients qs……………………………………… 100.0 g
HOW TO USE
The recommended dose for the treatment of poultry and swine is 10 mg of colistin, equivalent to 40 mg of PROMOTIN® PS, per kilogram of body weight per day, diluted in drinking water, for 7 consecutive days.
Presentation
80 g sachet in a box with 60 sachets and bags containing 1 kg in a box with 10 bags.
Withdrawal Period
Poultry – slaughter: slaughter of treated birds does not require a withdrawal period.
Eggs: this product must not be administered to birds producing eggs for human consumption.
Swine – slaughter: slaughter of treated swine does not require a withdrawal period.
